L. Schara was born on July 16, 1907, in Maribor. He graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Munich. After the Second World War, he opened a graphic design studio "Slikarstvo Šara" in Ljubljana, next to the Ljubljanica river. His favorite were the motifs of old Ljubljana, made in the watercolor technique, which decorate the homes of painting lovers all over the world. He died in 1993, in Ljubljana.
