F. Filipović is one of the most important representatives of the second generation of the Hlebinsk School and a member of the "Zemlja" group (together with painters: Krsto Hegedušič, Franjo Mraz, Mirko Virius, Ivan Generalič). He participated in hundreds of joint exhibitions in Croatia and around the world (London, Edinburgh, Moscow, Vienna, Buenos Aires...). His paintings can be found in many public collections, galleries and museums.
