Danhauser desk, from the Biedermeier period, approx. 1830, mahogany veneer. The table is the work of the famous Viennese designer of Biedermeier furniture, Josef Danhauser. The table is in original condition (not restored). Dimensions: 123 x 90 x 76 (h) cm.
During the Biedermeier period (1815 to 1848), Josef Ulrich Danhauser designed and produced furniture without superfluous decoration, which still looks extremely modern today. The Danhauser furniture factory was one of the first Viennese companies to focus on a style of interior decoration characterized by clean lines and strong architectural elements.
