Vjekoslav Vojo Radoičić was born in 1930 in Požega. He was a regular member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists from Rijeka and Zagreb and VBKO (Verein Bildenden Kunsler Osterreich, Vienna-Schönbrun). He created paintings, small sculptures, illustrations for children, applied graphics and textile design. He had more than 160 solo exhibitions at home and abroad.
Vojo Radoičić created more than 50 scenes for television and theater at home and abroad.
He received numerous awards and recognitions for his contribution to culture. In 1984 he received the "Grigor Vitez" award and in 1989 the "Ivana Brlić Mažuranić" award for illustrating children's books.
He was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award for illustration in 2002. He died in Rijeka on July 15, 2017, at the age of 86.
