Vjekoslav Vojo Radoi\u010di\u0107 was born in 1930 in Po\u017eega. He was a regular member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists from Rijeka and Zagreb and VBKO (Verein Bildenden Kunsler Osterreich, Vienna-Sch\u00f6nbrun). He created paintings, small sculptures, illustrations for children, applied graphics and textile design. He had more than 160 solo exhibitions at home and abroad.
\nVojo Radoi\u010di\u0107 created more than 50 scenes for television and theater at home and abroad.
\nHe received numerous awards and recognitions for his contribution to culture. In 1984 he received the “Grigor Vitez” award and in 1989 the “Ivana Brli\u0107 Ma\u017eurani\u0107” award for illustrating children’s books.
\nHe was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award for illustration in 2002. He died in Rijeka on July 15, 2017, at the age of 86.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
